This got a lot of buzz, and was a fun way to promote books that I know kids will love but (for whatever reason) have not circulated in a while.

The line items on the receipt are actually hints to give students a hint about the book’s flavor. It’s also fun to have some blank receipts for students to fill out for their favorite titles. Here was our receipt for Crossover by Kwame Alexander:
